In 2014 Diogo Oliveira held a Master in Classical Guitar Performance from the University of Alicante (Spain), where he studied with the world´s most renowned guitarists including David Russell, Manuel Barrueco, Paul Odette, Ignacio Rodes, Hopkinson Smith, Fabio Zanon, Roberto Aussel and Shin-Ichi Fukuda. Bachelor of Music in Classical Guitar from Unicamp (University of Campinas - São Paulo, Brazil), where he studied with Dr. Fábio Scarduelli and Dr. Marcos Cavalcante. In São Paulo, he studied with the Master guitarist Fabio Zanon. In addition, Diogo has attended masterclasses with international concert artists, including Zoran Dukić, Michael Lewin and José Antonio Escobar in the Winter Festival of Campos do Jordão - SP, Brazil (editions 2010 and 2011).


The guitarist Diogo has several awards in national and international competitions. Was a finalist in the first edition of the International "Barrios WorldWideWeb Competition" held in Asunción in Paraguay in December 2009. It was also a finalist in the II International Guitar Competition "Vital Medeiros" (Suzano - SP, Brazil) in 2009.


He has performed solo concerts in several Brazilian cities in the states of São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, Rio Grande do Sul and Paraná. Among his performances, it can be mentioned concerts in the series "Violão no Masp" (São Paulo - SP) "Musical Évora" (São Pedro Theatre, Porto Alegre - RS), Academic Symposium guitar of EMBAP (Curitiba - PR), XIV "Mostra de Cordas Dedilhadas" (SESC Santos - SP) and SESC São José dos Campos – SP. Furthermore, led the Unicamp Symphony Orchestra concerts in Polytheama Theatre (Jundiaí - SP), the Cultural Community Center of Campinas - SP and the Symphonic Orchestra of Sorocaba - SP at FUNDEC. Internationally, the guitarist played with flautist Miguel Angel Villanueva at "Flutes Festival" in Bariloche (Argentina). Also gave solo recitals during his Master’s degree in Spain, in the cities of Alicante and Sax.


In addition to the solo and orchestral work, the guitarist has a duo with the percussionist Denilson de Paula, which explores the Brazilian instrumental repertoire and the "Duo Du Vent" with Ligia Kamada (singer), which explores the French musical universe. Diogo also has a Duo with the flutist Cesar Pereira since 2008 and, in 2016, the Duo recorded their first album "Imagens Brasileiras, which was subsidized by the Municipal Culture Fund of São Roque - SP, Brazil. The repertoire of the CD consists on works by Brazilian composers (H. Villa-Lobos, Radamés Gnattali, Sérgio Assad, Liduíno Pitombeira and Diogo Oliveira).



Activity as a teacher


He created and worked in the project "Violão na Moras" (2007 and 2008), whose aim was to offer guitar lessons and music theory to residents of PME (Student Housing Program) at Unicamp. He has been a guitar monitor since 2011 in guitar workshops offered by the Cultural Foundation Cassiano Ricardo for the residents of São José dos Campos - SP, Brazil.
